The goal of the "WebInspect For Managers" course is to familiarize managers and nontechnical administrators and analysts with the issue of Web application security, the concepts behind Web application security assessments and the capabilities of WebInspect as an enterprise level Web application security assessment and reporting tool. The target audience for this course is the business or non-technical manager who needs a comprehensive understanding of the capabilities of WebInspect but is not actually responsible for performing assessments. Typically this person is the recipient of assessment reporting and may have to make tactical decisions based on an understanding of the information. This course will help you to understand and make informed decisions about the security of your Web applications. This course first highlights Web Application security issues through demonstration and explanation. Next we focus on the process of Web Application assessments and the role of WebInspect as an integral part of an overall security strategy. We will examine the role of the assessment policy manager and finally take a comprehensive look at the reporting capabilities from high-level executive summary and compliance reporting down to detailed reporting for quality assurance, engineers and site administrators.
